3rd Annual Meals on Wheels of Horry & Georgetown Gala

Since 2009, we at Meals on Wheels of Horry & Georgetown County, a 501 (C)(3) Tax exempt organization, have helped restore purpose, identity, and hope to those most in need in our community. We accomplish this by providing FREE and freshly cooked meals delivered directly to our “Grandparents” home! Followed up with monthly Special Deliveries of gifts, Care Team Visits, Weekly Devotionals, phone calls and cards. We do ALL of this without the help of Meals on Wheels of America or any local, State or Federal funding. In this time frame we have cooked and delivered over 620,230+ meals, served 9,489 “Grandparents” with continual weekly support and have been a final meal, smile, prayer, hug, or shoulder to cry on for 478+ “Grandparents” who have passed away.

 At the end of 2023 we became the focal point of local media because we had lost our kitchen. The landlord increased our rent and would not allow us to pay month to month. Now, we have until the end of 2024 to raise enough funds to purchase land and build our forever home.
